Nolen Park: A Small Neighborhood in the Heart of Nolensville

If you want a charming, tight-knit community in the heart of Nolensville, Nolen Park should be on your list.

The center of town contains mostly larger neighborhoods, including the cluster that forms Ballenger Farms, McFarlin Woods, and Stonebrook. They are all beautiful choices, but Nolen Park feels different. It feels like a nature enclave filled with older trees, pathways, and all-brick homes.

Nolen Park: Small Community, Exceptional Location

There are just 74 homes in Nolen Park, with the neighborhood designed in a circular loop, creating a very intimate feel. The primary roadway is aptly named Nolen Park Circle and there’s only one way to access Nolen Park Circle: Nolensville Road.

As locals, we’re well aware that Nolensville Road is busy, and when considering Nolen Park, that is something to consider; in fact, from what I can remember, it was considered when the neighborhood was built.

Again, I’m going from memory, but I believe Nolen Park was supposed to connect to the Stonebrook neighborhood via Rolling Hills Drive. That didn’t happen. Instead, there is a pathway between the two neighborhoods. The pathway is an emergency-only access “road,” installed around 2009.

The pro of being off of Nolensville Road is convenience. Nolen Park sits in the heart of it all. It’s just south of the Hillside Center development, which means easy access to restaurants and other nearby developments, including Martin’s BBQ and everything that the Nolensville Town Center (not to be confused with the Nolensville Town Square) has to offer.

Small Community, Big Involvement, Few Amenities

Being a smaller neighborhood often means no amenities, but Nolen Park has a few. The neighborhood has underground utilities, sidewalks, two parks (one with a walking path and a playground area). Also, you can walk the emergency pathway to connect into Stonebrook. It is indeed an emergency pathway, but there is a pedestrian gate between the two neighborhoods.

To me, what’s most interesting about the neighborhood isn’t the beauty of the pathways, but the amount of involvement and volunteerism shown by neighbors.

It’s not uncommon to see groups of neighbors out decorating the entrance for the holidays or banding together online to discuss how to improve their community. In 2025, for example, they worked with the town of Nolensville to complete a project to repair sagging streets and sidewalks. They also added doggy maintenance stations and repaired the gate to the emergency access pathway. In 2024, they repaired the emergency access road and filled cracks.

Gotchas for Nolen Park

If you’ve read any of my earlier articles, you know I often post the facts, the pros, and the cons. I’ve since stopped doing that, but that doesn’t mean Nolen Park is perfect. Every neighborhood in Nolensville has pros and cons.

Some of Nolen Park’s gotchas are evident. For example, simply driving into the neighborhood, you will see that at least 12 homes back right up to Hill Center. Now for some, this could create an opportunity. You can walk out your backdoor after a long week, grab a cocktail at the Regal Room, and walk back. But if you want a private backyard, this is something to consider.

As far as the less visible “gotchas,” I’m happy to share them offline. Simply text “Nolen Park Gotchas” to 615-410-8652, and I’ll send you the list. Know that my replies are not automated, so it won’t be an instantaneous response, but as our clients have shared over the years… Matthew and I are very responsive. I will get back to you.
